[gvttc general] The Board & New GVTTC "ACTING" VP

Members,

Due to personal and business reasons, Dustin has determined it’s best for him to resign as Vice President with a formal communication to Roger and I a bit ago.

Dustin has played an instrumental role in our club’s development over the last 5 years in multiple positions including Treasurer and VP.  I think it’s important to point out that these roles are voluntary and, understandably, life can get in the way.  Dustin has been an asset to this club with many luxuries we enjoy at GVTTC today in part a result of Dustin’s hand in them.  For that we’re all grateful.

Although the timing at the moment isn’t best for him, he wishes to remain on the EC on a go forward basis.  Personally, I welcome him with open arms.  Thank you Dustin for all that you have done!!! TRULY!

That said, I’ve been courting several individuals I thought could help until the Banquet and Saher Alghazi has stepped up and accepted to perform the duties of VP.  We also took it to a vote with the Board and he’s PASSED as Acting VP until the Banquet.  At that time, we’ll follow normal protocol and vote for a new term.

We have two openings coming up this year with VP and Treasurer.  Roger Haidvogel will step down after serving his 2 year term and not be a candidate moving forward.  Roger has also served in many roles and has been another huge asset to the club.  We thank him for his service.

Remember, GVTTC is a Social Club that is managed by its members. Without member contribution the club will cease to exist.  We need some people to "step up" if they want the club to continue to be a success, for all.  Anyone that wishes to be considered as a candidate for the upcoming banquet vote, we ask that you give us a heads up now.
