[gvttc general] Wet Towel Policy - Rochester Sports Garden - Important

Members,

Recently, the Sports Garden management team has expressed concern with the use of wet rags on the playing floor and that many times we leave them there after leaving.  It is both a liability for them when Basketball starts up after our session and a nuisance for them to pick up after our mess.

I’ve been granted a hall pass pending our followthrough on this communication with respect to a Sports Garden policy change on the use of wet rags as long as the following occurs.

1)  We pick up after ourselves
2)  We use a damp rag versus one that is soaking wet that leaves a puddle

It is a privilege that RSG allows us this benefit but I need to be clear in that if we, as a club, don’t adhere to the above, RSG will enforce a “no wet rag” policy going forward.  We’re in control our destiny on this one.

Please respect RSG and the other players in our club when you decide to use a wet rag.  I for one see the value in the rag and don’t want to see what life is like in the event we lose this privilege.

If you’re one of the last to leave any given playing time, please scan the area to make sure we don’t run into any accidental issues moving forward.
