[gvttc general] GVTTC - Classic League Week 1 Tryout Results

Hello everyone,

 

Yesterday we completed our first week of tryouts and we had some great
competition.  We are one week down and one to go.  Below are the results
from each group.

 

Group 1:

Kevin Johnson - 1st

Berl Stein - 2nd

Randy Bittner - 3rd

Group 2:

David Shih - 1st

Santanu Majumdar - 2nd

Nabil Matmati - 3rd

Group 3:

Paul Nielsen - 1st

Ishaq Kothari - 2nd

Boris Shmoys - 3rd

Group 4:

Bill Miller - 1st

David Freeman - 2nd

The top three spots from each group have advanced on to week 2, which is
next Tuesday 9/12.  With that said here is who is advancing.

Congrats to you all.  What is next?  As of right now we have 8 spots
available.  Next Tuesday I plan on having 3 groups of 4 compete in another
round robin format.  The top 2 from each group are IN the league.  I will
then take the 3rd place from each group and have them compete in another
mini round robin to determine the final 2 spots available.

 

I will send another communication over the weekend updating everyone on the
