Hello everyone,

Attached are the schedule and rules for our classic league this year. I
also posted this information on our website located below

http://www.gvttc.com/ClassicLeague

As of right now the only links that would make sense are the "League Rules
Document" and "Teams/Schedules/Byes and Subs and Ladder List" and "Next
Ladder Night". The "Team Stats" and "Ladder Results" will update after
their first respective weeks.

The schedule is 3 pages which includes contact information for league
members along with sub contact info should you need to find a sub

For new players, you will notice that we have 2 schedules - one for team
play and one for ladder play. Make sure you understand the ladder play
portion to know when you have a bye! You may also notice that during team
play, we have doubles matches. Depending on the schedule, the doubles teams
are the 1&2, 1&3, and 2&3 players. Feel free to ask me if you have any
questions.

Team scoring is easy enough. There are 10 matches per evening of team play.
If your team wins 6 or more matches, your team scores 2 points. If the match
is tied at 5-5, then your team will win 1 point. At the end of the year,
whoever wins the most points wins the league. Tiebreaker is based on % of
team matches. Anyone with questions about team and individual scoring
please let me know.

Ladder play is peer based, and everyone will always try to move UP the
ladder. Usually that is accomplished by making top 2 on your table. Bottom 2
players on each table will move DOWN the ladder. Sometimes a player may not
move UP because a player with a bye that week cannot be dislodged from their
ranking. You will notice that our first ladder night is October 9th, and the
players with a bye that evening are Burair, Jay, Kock-Yee and Paul.

Be aware that YOU are responsible for arranging your own substitutes! Make
sure you plan ahead here so your team is not stuck with a weak player, or
worse yet, a NO SHOW! It will be difficult for me to help the day of league
play due to my current work schedule.

If you want to play your matches ahead, be aware that all matches on that
future date MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the match date. You may NOT play
scheduled matches AFTER the scheduled match date.

Please make sure you read our rules. Over the years we have crafted them,
trying to close any loopholes that may arise. We encourage that everybody
plays by the rules, which includes legal serves, timeouts, towel time, etc.
I hope you enjoy your season and wish you all the best of luck.

Attached is the league schedule and rules in case you cannot access it on
the web.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

See you all Tuesday.

Thank you.

Marc Maronian

Classic League Director
