[gvttc general] Need volunteer(s) to transport students from Ithaca for intercollegiate tournament

Hi Everyone,

The spring upstate New York western divisional for the NCTTA (National
Collegiate Table Tennis Association) was postponed from Feb 2 to Feb 16 at
the last minute. Cornell University students lost some money due to rental
car cancellation that they had to make. They now are short of funding to
transport their whole team.

Would any of you be able to provide transportation for a few students
either to or fro or both. The tournament is at RIT and starts at 930a. So
they would need to be picked up at 630a.

They need transport for 5 students. I know its early in the day and a bit
of an ask but thought to put it out there. I can probably take some or most
of them back to Ithaca after the tournament ends around 7p.

Incidentally, you are invited to come and watch the divisional. There are
some high rated players in the division with the best well above 2300
USATT. There is singles and team matches including the long standing
Buffalo/Cornell rivalry that's driven competition in the upstate New York
area for many years.

Please let me know if you want to come and watch and I will update the RIT
rec staff with a list. Unfortunately, regular GVTTC members cannot
participate in the tournament.
