[gvttc general] College table tennis this weekend and the next

Dear Table Tennis Enthusiasts,

This weekend and the next college teams play in the upstate NY divisional
tournaments of the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association. If you
would like to come and cheer local university teams on please let me know
and I'll arrange for you to visit. The first tournament is at Cornell U's
Appel Commons this Sat Nov 2 at 9a. I am attaching directions. I direct
this tournament and the players represent:

-- Cornell University
-- University at Buffalo (SUNY)
-- Rochester Institute of Technology
-- Ithaca College
-- University of Rochester

The U of R team is transitional and is appearing unofficially in this
divisional tournament by invitation. Next semester they hope to compete
officially. Your support for area college table tennis would be appreciated
by these teams I am sure!

The other division in the Upstate Area -- Upstate NY Central -- is holding
its divisional tournament at SUNY Binghamton on Nov 9th. If you would like
to come to this tournament please also let me know and I will pass on the
list to Justin D'Antonio the Upstate NY Central director. In this
tournament are teams from:

-- Syracuse University
-- SUNY Binghamton
-- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

College table tennis needs public and spectator support to take it to the
next level. The students competing in these tournaments represent a broad
spectrum of social and ethnic backgrounds. All of them are passionate about
table tennis and put time and effort every year organizing, fundraising and
preparing for the table tennis season.
