[gvttc general] GVTTC - Classic League Tryouts - Week 1

Hello everyone,
 
Next Tuesday night, September 10th, we will have our first week of classic league tryouts.  As of right now we have 23 players registered to tryout.  It also looks like we have 7 spots you are all competing for.  If you would like to still participate, please let me know by this Friday.

Format:
-          Depending on final number of participants, I will have small round robin groups. 
-          Each group will play in a round robin format.  
-          Each match will be best of 5 games.  
-          As of right now, I might take he top 2 players from each group to advance to week 2 (might be more.  Depends on my final number of participants).
-          Each group will have 1 table assigned and will share another table with another group.  I will be using all 8 tables.k.
 
Play:
-          Play will begin SHARP at 6:30 PM.  Please come early to practice and warm up.
-          If you are late and you have a scheduled match, that match will be forfeited to keep play continuous. 
-          2 minute warmup before each match to ensure we have continues play.
-          If you come to practice and you see a table is in use by others that are not trying out, you have priority to take that table as this is your night to tryout.
 
** I would like to ask that we stick to what the above.  We will be sharing tables between groups and a lot of matches to get through.  Showing up on time and the 2 minute warmup is very important to ensure we finish in a timely manner. **
 
 
Rest of Club:
If you come to practice on Tuesday, please allow these folks to either hit with you, or give up your table if you see them waiting for a table.  I will be using all 8 tables for this tournament.
