[gvttc general] GVTTC - Classic League Tryouts - Week 1 ** UPDATE **

Hello everyone,
 
Just sending a final reminder for Tuesday.  My notes below are more specific compared to my last email so please read this again.

Next Tuesday night, September 10th, we will have our first week of classic league tryouts.  We have a total of 25 players registered to tryout.  I have a total of 8 spots that you are all competing for.
 
Here are the final list of participants that will be competing:

Format:
-          I am going to have 5 groups of 5.
-          Each group will play in a round robin format.  
-          Each match will be best of 5 games.
-          I will be taking the top 3 players from each group to advance to week 2
-          Each group will have 1 table assigned and will share another table with another group.  I will be using all 8 tables.
 
Play:
-          Play will begin SHARP at 6:30 PM.  Please come early to practice and warm up.
-          There will be an order of play.  If you are late and you have a scheduled match, that match will be forfeited to keep play continuous. 
-          2 minute warmup before each match to ensure we have continues play.
-          If you come to practice and you see a table is in use by others that are not trying out, you have priority to take that table as this is your night to tryout.
 
** I would like to ask that we stick to what the above.  We will be sharing tables between groups and a lot of matches to get through.  Showing up on time and the 2 minute warmup is very important to ensure we finish in a timely manner. **
 
 
Rest of Club:
If you come to practice on Tuesday, please allow these folks to either hit with you, or give up your table if you see them waiting for a table.  I will be using all 8 tables for this tournament.
