GVTTC,
I hope you’re well and look forward to a day in the near future where we can go back to what we’d consider to be normal operations. I’m happy to report that for the most part, our members have been following safe practices by wearing a mask when not playing. In a few rare cases, RSG or a member reminds the player and all ends up ok. Additionally, I haven’t heard of any cases within the base of active players to date.
In an attempt to elevate our attention to this matter while considering the health of our valued members, GVTTC is requesting that its members effectively communicate in a timely manner to the club if they are in quarantine for either
- Contracting COVID yourself
- Contract tracing due to being in contact with someone COVID positive based on NY Health Dept. guidelines
By our members working as a caring club and communicating quickly, those who may have come in contact can take necessary steps without delays to further protect themselves and those we all love so much.
If appropriate, I hope this added measure encourages some of you to pick up your paddle and join us that may not know how everything has worked out. Other than mask protocol and a few other adjustments, table tennis has operated similar to any other year.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Andre Maronian
President GVTTC
