Hi All,

 

Sorry for all the back and forth this week, but here's yet another stats &
play sheet update.

 

The results of one match on table 6 last Monday was reversed and so new
results and player match up for next week.

I've had a few questions about how players are repositioned as a result of
matches.

 

The basic results are shown on the 1st page of the stats, based on the
outcome of play, players are given a changed rank from -2 to +4 indicating
how their rating might change.  However this isn't how they rating will
change because of several factors.  First, ladder play doesn't allow
duplicate ranks, so if two (or more) players end up with the same rank, this
must be resolved.  Bye player ranks don't change, they are neither rewarded
or penalized for having a bye.

 

Notice that the stats PDF has 10 more pages showing the RAW rankings then
many pages of the logic used to determine who arrives at their final rank.
