The website has been updated!

We tried a new format that seemed quite successful and I can assure you we’ll run it back again.  We ran less events allowing for more matches … everyone advances off their table.


How?  We did the normal seeded draws for group round robins.  Next everyone advanced in appropriate round robin groups again based on their results.  We called it the upper and lower groups.  Finally, the top 2 upper group finishers came off their tables for a semi final and final.  Players in the U1200 event and Open event experienced between 8 to 10 matches per event.  If anyone that competed wants to “reply all” with their experience please do so.


We streamed most of the day on our Facebook page.  You can either access those matches at Facebook OR you can visit our website at www.gvttc.com<http://www.gvttc.com>, scroll to the bottom of the home page and see it there.  Remember, if you like the GVTTC Facebook group, you’ll be notified immediately when we GO LIVE.


We’re looking at our next unsanctioned tournament sometime in August …. Stay tuned!
