1. Company Information
Nozomi Optics, Inc.

Nozomi was established in July 2001 to develop and manufacture optical
devices including optical waveguide switches, optical materials and
chemical products for optical devises. Nozomi$B!G(Bs technology is backed by
51 patent applications derived from 10 years of research by affiliated
companies in Japan. The company just completed the initial round of
financing and started to grow. The company is currently located in
Sunnyvale and will be moving in to an R&D facility in north San Jose in
September.

1 POSITIONS: Enginner
- Location:	Sunnyvale, or San Jose CA

- Manager level process engineer: Experience (over 10 years) in InP,
PLC, or polymer waveguide device fabrication process including thin film
deposition, photolithography, and etching. Ph.D. degree preferred.
- Process engineer: Experience (over 5 years) in sol-gel or polymer
synthesis and thin film deposition.  M.S. or above degree required.
- Process engineer (2 engineers): Experience (over 5 years) in InP, PLC,
or polymer waveguide device fabrication process including thin film
deposition, photolithography, and/or etching.  M.S. or above degree
required.
- Process engineer: Experience (over 5 years) in PLC or LN waveguide
device dicing, polishing, and pig-tailing process.  M.S. or above degree
required.
- Manager level design engineer: Experience (over 10 years) in InP, LN,
PLC, or polymer waveguide device design and evaluation. Ph.D. degree
preferred.

2. POSITION: Executive Office Administrator
- Executive Office Administrator (EOA)
- Location:	Sunnyvale, or San Jose CA

The Executive Office Administrator (EOA) plays a key role in the
company's success by helping our officers through three primary areas of
responsibility:

Office Management and Administration
The EOA performs all administrative tasks related to the operation of
the company.
The responsibility includes:
- Setting up company$B!G(Bs operations in the new facility
- Planning and preparing for daily activities,
- Preparing company rules and benefits
- Maintaining the calendar of appointments for officers
- Travel planning
- Other administrative tasks

Recruiting Support
The EOA supports the recruiting activities for the company. The company
is planning to hire 10 engineers at the end of the year. The
responsibility includes sorting resumes, managing job posting,
scheduling interviews, follow-ups, and maintaining relationship with
recruiting agencies.

Accounting Support
The EOA supports the book keeping and accounting activities. The
responsibility includes basic bookkeeping, handling purchase orders,
managing expense, and communicating with outside accounting firms.

Notes
- Start-up experience is preferred
- Experience in Optical / Semiconductor / Telecom / Computer industry is
preferred.
- Japanese is a plus.
- Accounting experience is a plus.
