JTPAで企画中の「技術交流分科会」につき、10月2日の時点で、参加希望者が
23名となりました。
参加表明してくださった皆様、有難うございます。また、まだ参加を考えている
方も、是非どうぞ。(参加方法は、後述 **)
取り急ぎ、開催日程と進め方をお知らせします。
「分科会開催日程」
開催日は、10月22日、11月12日、12月10日の毎回水曜日、時間は、
午後7時から10時くらい。
場所: 今現在、パロアルト近辺の候補をあたっております。
費用:軽いスナック・飲み物付で 賛助会員一回5ドル、一般会員一回15ドル
程度を予定
「参加希望者の興味分野」
Ipv6、無線LAN、通信関連、モバイルアプリケーション、RF-CMOS技術、データ
圧縮、計測、分析、Linux、Webサーバー、携帯電話、アナログ回路、半導体関
係、日米間の隙間を埋めるビジネスチャンス、ローカライゼイション、品質保証
テスト、オープンソフトウェア、OS、Real Time OS、セキュリティ、分散コン
ピューティング、光通信、自己啓、鉛フリーはんだ、ソフトウェアデベロップメ
ント、Blogソフト 等々です。
「進め方」
進め方の大きな方向として、やはりアプリケーションドリブンとした方が具体的
に道筋がみえるので、アイデアの一つとして存在していた、”最強のPDAを作成
する”、というコンセプトで進める事としました。
しかし、従来のPDAではなく、大きさはPDAとノートPCの間くらい、携帯性のわり
とよい、エンジニアのためのツールになりえるようなものと位置付けたいと考え
ています。ということで、PDAとは、別の呼称をつける必要がありそうです。
それを進めるプロジェクト名をつけた方がわかりやすいのではないかということ
で、1回目は、

-プロジェクトコンセプト説明(佐藤さん)
-ディスカッション
-プロジェクト名を決定
という内容にしたいと思っています。この内容は、かなり参加者の希望分野をカ
バーできるのではないかと思ってます。

ら、1年間の期限でMITのComparative Media Studiesに研究留学している鷲田祐

このたび、自分自身の研究として、北米在住の優れた日本人技術者・研究者の
方々の意識をお伺いするアンケート調査を企画いたしました。昨今、高い技術を
持つ日本人エンジニア・研究者の方々に、大きな社会的注目が集まっておりま
す。北米でご活躍なさっておられる方々は、その中でも特に強い信念やユニーク
なご経験をお持ちの方が多いと聞きます。今回は、そのような方々を特に対象に
して、普段のご研究でお感じになっておられることや、将来的な希望などをお伺
