Japanese professionals usually have significant problems with the English 
language, despite many years of careful study.   Why should this be so?   
This interactive seminar will focus on the reasons that English is so 
difficult to master.   It will provide an overview of the three language 
components that must each be strong to achieve professional mastery.   
Using example errors from the audience, the instructor will demonstrate 
how easily such errors can be fixed when proper understanding is brought 
to the problem.

Each person attending the seminar will receive a packet of materials which 
may provide a big step forward in his or her English skill.

Speaker$B!G(Bs Bio:

David Blake has taught English to foreign professionals and their families 
for nearly 15 years.   He has a degree in Molecular Biology and 
Biochemistry from San Jose State University, and is a former Regents 
Scholar at the University of California.

David$B!G(Bs initial training in English teaching was at Berlitz. He left 
Berlitz in 1995 to start his own language service, abcENGLISH, and to 
develop more logical, more scientific teaching methods.   Over the years, 
he has helped nearly 500 students, mostly Japanese, to improve their 
English.
