[gvttc general] Tom Wood

The purpose of this note is to notify the Rochester Table Tennis community
that Tom Wood is gravely ill. For those of you who may not have known Tom,
he played Table Tennis in Rochester supporting GVTTC and coaching players
for over 40 years. He has been fighting cancer for the past few years. Tom
continued to play and coach others right up to a couple of weeks ago.
Unfortunately, his fight is coming to an end. He's currently in hospice
unable to get out of bed or communicate.

On behalf of his family I would like to thank everyone who have expressed
their concerns for Tom. Some of you have tried to contact the family to
find out how he is and offer assistance. While everyone's support is
appreciated in this trying time Tom's wife has informed me that he will not
be receiving visitors. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
